Lexie's Story...
Thank you animal shelter for not putting Lexie down! She was at the shelter for 2 months and we couldn't stand it. She was afraid at first on the car ride home, yet she snuggled up to one of the CPR volunteers. Since then her true colors have come out. She is a true sweetheart and needs a family that will walk, play, love and believe in her. She is nearly 3 years old, 35 lbs, and full of goodness. Within the first week she was already doggy door and kennel trained and we think she is potty trained. She does great with all the other dogs, small and large. Not sure about the cat! Unfortunately, she does have heartworms but her adoption fee of $175 will include her treatment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexie, a Garland Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Garland, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Garland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garland paves the way for another one to be saved.
