Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pirate is a young, smart, gorgeous goofball. Through no fault of his own, Pirate was surrendered to the Santa Monica shelter when his owner abandoned him at a relative’s house. He spent six long months at the shelter before finally finding a loving foster home on July 1, 2017, where he is anxiously awaiting his forever home. Pirate is a 1.5 year old, 55 lb., fawn colored, neutered male pit bull. He is very smart, learns quickly, knows some basic commands (sit, down, shake), and is actively learning more (like come, leave it, and drop it). He walks very well on leash (no pulling), and is good with people and other dogs. His previous owner said he was also good with children, though we have not had a chance to see this firsthand quite yet. He loves toys, belly rubs, playing with water, and most of all swimming! He also makes a fantastic hiking/jogging partner! When he is tired out, he will quietly retire to his crate for some R&R. Pirate is young and energetic, and would do best with an active family that will take him hiking and give him lots of opportunities to enjoy his favorite pastime… swimming! Pirate is healthy with no known health issues and is current on all vaccinations. Please take a moment to check out Pirate’s videos on youtube and his Instagram page:
