Where I came from...
I was brought to Sun Valley Animal Shelter in hopes that I could find my forever home.

A little bit about me...
I am a VERY sweet & loving girl who wants all of your affection! I am very loving & enjoy being held in your arms.
I am a bit of a class clown as I am constantly doing silly things. Whether it be rolling around on my back & laying in funny poses, or by getting into every nook & cranny that there is, I am always sure to make you laugh.
I am a young adult, so I still have a lot of energy. Keeping me mentally, physically, & emotionally tired with lots of positive activities will help keep me out of trouble & keep me occupied.
I love to be able to explore the areas around me, but then come back and curl up next to you when I am done. I am a great balance of independent and needy.

My ideal home would include...
Someone who is okay with having a very loving girl that craves affection & interaction much of the time. I am not a needy cat persay, but if I had to choose between doing my own thing & being with you, I would choose being with you (once I'm done exploring everything that I can of course).
Someone who is okay with having a young adult that is very curious & who needs appropriate and positive outlets to help get my energy out.
Someone who is looking for an easy going and fun girl who is very easy to please. Because my personality is so laid back and easy going, I would make a wonderful first time cat.

About Sun Valley Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Sun Valley Animal Shelter, Inc., is an Arizona nonprofit corporation with 501(c)3 status which operates a No-Kill shelter in Glendale, Arizona, generally serving the western portion of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The organization was founded in 1991 by a group of Sun City area residents as a foster-based program to provide adoption opportunities for homeless and abandoned dogs and cats. The current facility was built in 1995 and can house 100+ dogs and 100+ cats. The organization receives no government funding and is supported by income from our thrift store profits, adoption fees, membership dues, donations and bequests. We recently received a grant to assist in the construction of a new medical/surgical center at the facility.

The animals taken into our care are housed in a clean, secure environment and are spayed/neutered, microchipped, given all necessary shots and a physical exam. Dedicated volunteers are invaluable in assisting with the daily care and nurturing of our dogs and cats prior to finding a loving home. We are proud to note that in the last several years we have increased adoptions from approximately 300 animals per year to over 1000 animals per year.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Sun Valley Animal Shelter is located at 7150 N. 110th Avenue in the City of Glendale, AZ 85307. Our business hours are Tuesdays thru Sundays from 11:00am till 4:00pm. We do participate in a local Petsmart on the weekends for our dogs to be viewed. We also participate in various events throughout the Greater Phoenix area that those who allow dogs to be shown we bring for viewing. If not, we are always available at an event to showcase those adoptable pets that are available.

Our Adoption Process...

Please be advised we only adopt to AZ residents. We make a commitment to all of our animals. So while we appreciate your interest, we ask that you be a local resident to adopt. We do not always know the full background of each animal and sometimes personalities are not fully shown until a few days in the home. If for whatever reason you cannot keep the animal, we appreciate the animal being returned to our facility. It is costly and time consuming to return an animal from out of state. Please check your local animal shelter to find a forever friend near your area.
We do have adoption fees that are reflective to our adoptable cats and dogs. They will slightly vary depending on the cat or dog. However most of the adoptable pets have the same adoptable fee. We ask that any prospective adopter to come to our location and complete an adoption application. This will be reviewed by a qualified adoption counselor who will sit and visit to interview the adopter on what they are looking for to place the adoptable pet in a forever home. Once approved for adoption, there is paperwork to complete and the adoptable cat or dog will be able to go home that day
