When Molli was found on the side of the road in rural Arkansas she was in awful shape: emaciated with a skin condition due to poor nutrition and utter neglect. When the couple who found her got out of their car to see if she was still alive, Molli lowered her ears, wagged her tail with the lowest tail wag she could muster to let them know she was friendly, and smiled. Little did she know that the kind people were vet techs who knew exactly what to do: they scooped her up, brought her in for the best vet care, and made the promise that that day would be the first day of the rest of her life. And boy, has Molli made up for lost time!!

Personality lovers behold: Molli is a very affectionate puppy who is bound to be the official "greeter" in any household! And make sure you build in extra time on your walks because this friendly girl will make you say hello to every passerby that crosses your path! She's got a big smile and a sense of humor to match - - she loves everybody!! Molli is super affectionate, thinks your lap is the best place to sit, and LOVES to cuddle . . . but running her heart out like a little lunatic is her favorite thing! She loves to run and play with all the dogs at her foster home no matter how big they are, and being a pest to the older dogs just comes naturally. (It's all in good fun of course!) She's done great with basic commands like Sit, is potty-trained, crate-trained and is easily motivated by peanut butter!! True to her Border Collie heritage, she's very intelligent and will probably think she's smarter (and funnier) than you are . . . but most BC Lovers expect that. The vet techs have been fostering her with their dogs, cats and kids, and Molli has been the perfect playmate for all of them . . . despite her energy and constant puppy kisses (and sometimes her puppy peskiness!!). Molli will be so grateful for a forever home - - and you'll be grateful for having found a little girl this sweet. We think Molli is about 5 months old, she weighs just under 20 pounds and we think she'll be a medium-sized adult fully grown. If you have room in your heart for a true survivor, please visit www.pinkshelter.org for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting and spay included in her $400 adoption fee. Transport fee is additional $140. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE

About Little Pink Shelter - CT Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Little Pink Shelter is a registered 501(c)3 charity. All donations are tax-deductible.

When I started The Little Pink Shelter back in 2008, my mission was to help shelter dogs win their fight for a second chance at life; as a breast cancer survivor, I knew all too well the sweetness of that victory. Since founding The Little Pink Shelter, I have placed over 2,700+ dogs and puppies into loving homes.

The Little Pink Shelter is considered more of a "boutique" rescue, focusing solely on making an adoption successful. Working closely with select shelters and rescues in Arkansas where the pet overpopulation continues to be out of control, my colleagues and I are careful to temperament test each dog so we can understand the type of home to which it will be best-suited.

Too many wonderful dogs are put down each week because of lack of space, lack of funding and a widespread disregard for spaying/neutering and responsible ownership. The plight of these dogs and the quest to find each one a loving home is what fuels us every day.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a facility in Connecticut, so you can only visit The Little Pink Shelter on the internet. Our dogs and puppies are usually fostered in the south and the overwhelming majority of them are adopted out before they arrive so they can go right home after transport and begin bonding with their new forever families! Check out the "Love Fests" Albums on our Facebook Fan Page!

We are always in search of short term foster homes up here in Connecticut and the surrounding states!!! If you're not ready for a full 15+ year commitment, or if you have always wanted to help in some way, please consider short-term fostering a dog or puppy for us! Write us for more info!

Our Adoption Process...

The first step in the process is submitting an online application located through a link in each pet's description, or from our website at www.pinkshelter.org under the "How to Adopt" tab. Whenever possible we like to begin review with a vet reference. After that, we will be in touch to set up a lengthy phone interview where each of us has the opportunity to ask all our questions of the other. Home visits are at our discretion. Once approved, there is a contract and transport is arranged if necessary.
