Meet Spencer! Sweet, gentle, and loving. At 13 years young, Spencer has a few stories to tell. He's ready to move forward, find a loving home, a soft bed and a friend to to pal around with so he can relax and enjoy his golden years. Spencer arrived at CRCS at a very unhealthy weight. We have worked hard to help him shed some pounds and get back to being a dog again. He is loving all the freedom that losing weight has given him. His new home will need to continue our work by providing a healthy diet and regular exercise so that he can enjoy many more years to come. Spencer has a soft disposition, a calm demeanor and a very sweet, affectionate nature. You'll fall in love on first meet. He has a huge heart and wants nothing more than to give love and be loved. He is a gentle soul. Spencer loves people, dogs, cats, kids and can adapt to a variety of different households. Because of his age and history, we are looking to place him in a home where he will have company during the day and with a family that will include him on activities. Spencer is house trained and knows how to ask to go out. Due to age, he does need to go outside several times during the day so a home that doesn't mind giving this love bug consistent outings to relieve himself is needed. What a LOVE of a dog he is! We are absolutely head over heals for this boy. Age 13 years. 40 lbs and dropping!
