  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: Best Friends NYC/Michele McLeod
Tyler's heart is as big as his smile. He is a handsome boy currently being fostered by Michele McLeod for Best Friends Animal Society - New York City.
Tyler is a totally gorgeous mix, perhaps Rhodesian Ridgeback/lab/pittie, about 2-1/2 years old and 80 pounds. Tyler knows basic commands, and is continually learning more. :)He will do well in a home with a family that is confident handling large dogs. He is non-reactive to cats, and can do well in a home with another dog his own size, with proper introductions. His ideal home will be one with adults or a family with older children (13 years old or older). He is an energetic dog, and could easily knock over little ones without meaning to do so.
Tyler is happiest when he has a job to do. He loves learning new things and learns them quickly. He would be great at scent work!
For more information about Tyler, please contact Michele at 203 788 7647. Tyler is being fostered in Newtown CT.

About Companion Pet Rescue & Transport of New England

About Our Rescue Group...

CPR was formed in 2004 to assist unwanted pups and dogs with finding a new home. We rescue our pups from high kill shelters in TN, AR, MS, LA and TX. Without the dedication of the staff and volunteers of these shelters and without the assistance of CPR, the pups posted on our website would not be rescued. Before partnering with CPR, these shelters had euthanasia rates of 95%. We've reduced the euthanasia rate in all shelters by at least 50%. We rescue and rehome 200+ pups and dogs each month. We accomplish this task with the help of an awesome hard working and dedicated staff and volunteer base. Also helping us to accomplish what seems at times to be a thankless and overwhelming job is our pure and selfless love of dogs! We truly believe that rescue + rehoming = true love. <3

Our Adoption Process...

Please visit our website at www.cprdogs.com for our online application. Upon approval, one of our hard working adoption counselors will be in touch and help you finalize the adoption of your new family member.
The adoption contract is also found on our website. While it's not necessary to sign the contract until you are ready to finalize the adoption, you may want to look over it just to make sure you are agreeable to all our requirements.
Our adoption fees cover all of the pre-adoption vet work and transportation costs.
