Meet Malbec!
Malbec is a short hair Tabby kitten that was born on 6/16/17. Her mom was a feral kitty that gave birth in a window well of a middle school in Lake Orion. A concerned parent contacted us about the family and we rescued mom and the litter of 5 kittens. This litter has been well socialized and has been exposed to children, other kitties and dogs. These kittens are playful and sweet and each of them deserve an indoor life with a family that will love them furever!

Malbec is:
Current on age appropriate vaccines and wormings
FeLV/FIV Negative
Will be spayed/neutered at our vet at 16 weeks (included in the adoption fee).

Adoption Fee: $75

Furever Tails is a non-profit, no-kill, foster home based animal rescue based out of Oakland Township, MI. Our foster animals are living in our foster homes and treated like family until they find their own furever family. Our adoption process requires an application to be completed and approved before a meet-n-greet with the animal can take place. Adoption fees are necessary to help us cover vetting costs for our rescued animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Malbec, a Oakland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
