My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kismet is a kissy Keeshond puppy. Poor little Kismet was dumped in a municipal shelter at only six weeks old. That’s way too young for a pup to be away from her mom and littermates. Luckily, Kismet found herself in a foster home with two Keesie brothers to show her the ropes. While her brothers were reluctant to play with her when she first arrived, they did teach her about learning canine social cues. When Kismet sees that the dogs don’t want to play with her, she backs off and plays independently with her toys.

And boy does she love toys! She loves carrying her favorites from room to room and spreading them all over the house. A favorite game is to wait for her foster mom to put toys in Kismet’s crate as mom is getting ready for work, them quickly and silently take them out as soon as mom’s back is turned!

Kismet is really smart and has been learning some commands such as come, leave it, sit and going potty outside. She has learned that when her foster brother gets medicine, everyone else gets a dog cookie. Sometimes she will follow foster mom into the kitchen – even when it’s not medicine time - and sit nicely next to the cabinet with the treats inside hoping to get one (and she usually does!)

Kismet is still a baby, and needs a lot of continuing training. She is a happy girl who will bring a lifetime of joy to the person or family willing to invest the time, love and energy Kismet will need to thrive.
