Meet Ethan! This sweet, handsome rottie boy is eagerly awaiting a new best friend. Ethan is a very happy, healthy guy who loves to hang out and go on adventures. He is the true epitome of his breed and is a big cuddle bug once he gets to know you. Like most rotties, he can be a little shy when meeting new people, and seems to warm up quickly when given a moment to smell and greet them. He is a young 8 years old and still has a lot of life and love left to give someone!
Ethan loves to go for walks and enjoys going on outdoor adventures to explore. He really enjoys the water too, so any outdoor activity that allows for him to dip his paws in, he's a pretty happy guy! Anyone looking for a hiking or camping buddy, this guy is definitely for you. He doesn't seem to mind the company of other dogs and engages in play and is tolerant of many different levels of play in different sizes and types of dogs. Once indoors, Ethan is all about the cuddle time. If he has his way, he is curled up next to you, head in your lap and softly getting his head pet. But, he's also content to find a comfy bed or kuranda to sleep on and he cuddles right up. Ethan doesn't mind cats, and if anything seems a little nervous around them. As far as kids are concerned, we feel that older kids who aren't as startling would be best but any home can be considered given the type of energy in the family!
Ethan responds beautifully to training and is eager and willing to please, especially with food motivation. He is what we call a leaner, a dog who is constantly wanting to be in contact so will lean on you for attention. He just loves his people! He currently knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and is crate trained, housebroken, and leash trained! He takes correction and direction well when working with him. So working him into his new home should be a breeze.
Ethan is fully vetted, meaning he is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and on monthly flea and heartworm preventions. For more information on how to adopt Ethan, please contact us at KMCRescue@Gmail.com!
