Ms. Cartimandua is a Dutch mixed breed of rabbit, who was found as a stray and taken into the care of loving shelter staff and volunteers. Currently she is getting lots of snuggles from her new friends. Although we don't know her previous history, Ms. C appears to be healthy and sweet, and she has adapted well to shelter life. Given her loving nature, Ms. C may do well in a house with other animals, including a rabbit friend, in a supervised situation. Likewise, she may have positive interactions with older children, in a supervised setting. She eats hay tucked into the side of a litter box, 1/4 cup of pelleted food, and limited romaine on a daily basis. Consider accepting this deserving girl into your family for a second chance at happiness.

If you are interested in meeting The Mighty Cartimandua, please stop by our Hamilton Avenue shelter and fill out an application. For more info contact the Humane Animal Rescue Adoption Department at adoptions@humaneanimalrescue.org or 412.345.7300, ext. 215.

About Humane Animal Rescue - East

About Our Shelter...

Mission Statement: The Humane Animal Rescue mission is to provide temporary shelter, food, medical attention, and comfort to all abandoned, neglected and injured animals brought to us by the community; to restore lost animals to their owners or seek new homes for them, and to educate the public about the humane care of animals with a goal of reducing overpopulation.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Most of our adoptable animals are available daily at out shelter. We also occasionally have events off-site. Check out website for more information.

Our Adoption Process...

Requirement for adoption include:
1. Having all members of the household meet the animal
2. Dog meet-and-greets at the shelter if there is another canine in the home
3. Proof that dogs are allowed in the home including a lease and/or addendum if renting or proof of ownership if the home is owned (ownership can also be checked using the county assessment site if available).
