Fannie and her friends, Dani and Alexis, came to us from someone who rescued them and can't keep them. Fannie is a bit shy and still adjusting to shelter life and all the strangers coming around. But they all got over their shyness very quickly and basically walked all over me when the treat bag came out, remaining very sweet and gentle with each other and with me. All of these cats would probably do best in a relatively quiet home and will probably need a little time to adjust. But you will be rewarded with a great cat. About Humane Animal Rescue - East

About Our Shelter...

Mission Statement: The Humane Animal Rescue mission is to provide temporary shelter, food, medical attention, and comfort to all abandoned, neglected and injured animals brought to us by the community; to restore lost animals to their owners or seek new homes for them, and to educate the public about the humane care of animals with a goal of reducing overpopulation.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Most of our adoptable animals are available daily at out shelter. We also occasionally have events off-site. Check out website for more information.

Our Adoption Process...

Requirement for adoption include:
1. Having all members of the household meet the animal
2. Dog meet-and-greets at the shelter if there is another canine in the home
3. Proof that dogs are allowed in the home including a lease and/or addendum if renting or proof of ownership if the home is owned (ownership can also be checked using the county assessment site if available).
