Stealy, a beautiful masked calico, and her buddy, Viana, are with us because their owners moved and couldn't take them along. They're sweet, gentle kitties who are shy in the shelter, but you can tell that they will be fine once they're in a home. They're slowly warming up and are very affectionate when you pet them. I caught Stealy's first photo when she was lounging on her shelf when no one was around. Once the ear scratching commenced, she was trying really hard not to roll over for a tummy rub from a stranger, but it won't be long! If you are looking for a nice quiet pair of kitties to make your house a home, come and visit Stealy and Viana. If you have any questions, send mail to catladycam@gmail.com. Posted 7.22.17

About Humane Animal Rescue - East

About Our Shelter...

Mission Statement: The Humane Animal Rescue mission is to provide temporary shelter, food, medical attention, and comfort to all abandoned, neglected and injured animals brought to us by the community; to restore lost animals to their owners or seek new homes for them, and to educate the public about the humane care of animals with a goal of reducing overpopulation.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Most of our adoptable animals are available daily at out shelter. We also occasionally have events off-site. Check out website for more information.

Our Adoption Process...

Requirement for adoption include:
1. Having all members of the household meet the animal
2. Dog meet-and-greets at the shelter if there is another canine in the home
3. Proof that dogs are allowed in the home including a lease and/or addendum if renting or proof of ownership if the home is owned (ownership can also be checked using the county assessment site if available).
