(Date of Birth: 01/01/15) Alaska is a real beauty. She was very scared when she arrived here but with some love and lots of tuna she has showed us her true self. Now she eats tuna right out of your hand. Alaska would love a quiet home with lots of tuna!

We're located on 177 County Road 10 two miles outside of Ridgway, Colorado.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting or the adoption process please visit our website at www.adoptmountianpets.org where you will find the application and other useful information or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday 970 626 2273.

During the adoption process each potential new owner is interviewed and carefully matched with the animal that best suits the adopter's situation and expectations, to ensure that both will enjoy a long, happy relationship. Our adoptions fees are dependent on species (dog/cat) and age. All animals adopted from the Second Chance Humane Society will have had at least their first set of vaccinations and will be spayed or neutered, the humane way to reduce dog and cat over population.
