My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All you need is the love of a good cat – here I am!

Chelsea is a calm and affectionate cat who has so much love to give. She is a quiet cat, not the pushy type. Instead she sits and looks directly into your eyes, politely asking you to come spend time with her. At the first touch, she melts and falls into your hand for pets. In short time, she will roll and nuzzle to let you know how thoroughly she is enjoying the TLC you are offering.

There is a bit of a mystery surrounding Chelsea’s background. She came to us as a stray, but was microchipped. Her original owner lives in Pacific Beach and said she disappeared almost five years ago. He has no idea how she came to be in Coronado and he also chose to relinquish her…

Chelsea did not have the look of a cat that has been living ‘on the streets’. She is well-fed, clean and extremely social. So, we may never know how she came to be here or where or who she has been living with. What we do know is that she is a very friendly cat who loves people and will make someone a purrfect feline companion.

Do you need the love of a good cat? If you do, you must come down and meet Chelsea to see just how much love she has to share!

You can meet Chelsea at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. The facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 11:30 am and 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm (except major holidays). The Coronado Animal Care Facility is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

Once you have met Chelsea, if you are interested in adopting her, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or Cat Adoption Applications may be completed online.

You can read about the adoption process on the Adoption Information page.

If you have any questions, please contact the Cat Adoption Team by calling Bob at 619-840-9727.
