Facts about Shane

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Shane is one hunk o' handsome tabby! Shane is a big boy, weighing in at around 15 pounds. He's a little chubby, but also just a good-sized kitty. Shane has been around cats and dogs and is fine with both. He is a little hissy in new situations, but adjusts in a day or so. He is a total lovebug and would be perfectly happy as your one and only cat. At about six years old, he's through the kitten phase of his life and more into the couch potato stage. Shane loves his people so much that he has has the tendency to give love nips. He means no harm and does not break skin, but because of this may be better with older kids. We think Shane is just purrfect!

About CARF: The Critical Animal Relief Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

CARF: The Critical Animal Relief Foundation has been established to provide urgent medical, surgical and fostering resources for non-terminal and terminal animals in need of safety, healing and the relief of pain and suffering when time is of the essence and resources are scarce. CARF works independently and in conjunction with other responsible rescue organizations. CARF advocates for proactive legislation to prevent and punish animal abuse, supports animal awareness campaigns targeting at-risk children and adults, sponsors animal assistance programs for marginalized individuals, and funds educational programs to enlighten future generations for the betterment of animal welfare and responsible animal stewardship. We serve Chicago and the greater Chicagoland area.
