My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABE is a one year, six-month-old grey and white male cat. Abe was found in an inner city residential neighborhood, and it was very apparent this young man was seriously injured. Abe had such a wound on his neck, and was in such intense pain, that he couldn’t put his left paw down. The wound was badly infected, and Abe was running a high fever because of it. We suspect our boy ran afoul of an unfriendly dog. He was very thin, hungry, and much the worse for wear. Now that his health and diet have improved dramatically, Abe is showing his playful side, and loves to play with his toys. He’s quite smart, and his curious and inquisitive eyes don’t miss much. And…well, he’s very cute! If you’re looking for an affectionate and easy-going companion, come meet Abe!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and a fecal test.
