My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MADELINE is a one-year-old long-haired black and white female cat. MAX is her long-haired black and white kitten. Madeline was found in a vacant apartment, and her distressed cries were heard by a neighbor. We don’t know how long Madeline went without food or water; she was pregnant, very young, and very petite. A neighbor coaxed her into a carrier, and brought her to us. Madeline gave birth to four kittens, and Max was the only one to survive. Madeline and Max are bonded, and they are each other’s comfort. Madeline had a bit of a hard time at first adjusting at her foster home, and it is understandable, as she was so traumatized by her ordeal and losing her other kittens. The kindness and patience of her foster mom has slowly but surely allowed Madeline to recover from her bad memories, and she is doing very well now that she is in a safe and secure home environment. Both Madeline and Max are adorable puff balls, and both are very sweet. They play together, snuggle together, and do well with their foster feline companions. If you’re looking for a pair of sweet and adorable felines, come meet Madeline and Max!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV, and a fecal test.
