Hi there! I'm a very active young man looking for a very special family! I came to the APL when my owner could no longer care for me, I can be a little trying, doing puppy things such as chewing on the wrong things and going potty in the wrong places. I just need some patience and training! I walk a little funny sometimes, that is because I have severe hip dysplasia. This is a manageable, but also painful condition that I will have for the rest of my life. That's where the "special" part comes in on your end. I will need to remain on joint health supplements, sometimes pain medication will help and many other options such as physical therapy, acupuncture and more. I promise I am worth it! I am very fun and loving! I enjoy other dogs and getting attention from everyone I meet!

About PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Center - Cleveland Animal Protective League

About Our Shelter...

The Cleveland Animal Protective League's mission is to foster compassion and end animal suffering. Incorporated in 1913, we are an independent, nonprofit humane society located in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood.

As a 501(c)(3) agency, we are not funded or controlled by any government or national animal welfare organization. Our animal shelter, services, and programs are made available through fundraising, donations, foundation and corporate support, and service fees.

We are committed to 100 percent placement of adoptable animals and envision a time when every friendly, healthy, homeless animal in our community can be cared for until a new family is found.

The Cleveland APL provides shelter to homeless animals relinquished by their guardians, animals that are rescued from abuse or neglect, and stray or abandoned cats.

You can ask your adoption counselor any questions about house-training, training classes, scratching (in cats), introducing your new pet, veterinary care, how to deal with fleas, or anything else you can think of!
