Bodie's Story...
Bodacious (Female) - Silver Tabby - DOB ~ 04-25-07
Previously known as Gordie, Bodie is loving, playful and charming.
Completely confident, she's the tom girl who will play with everything and
everyone. She follows us around, talking and asking for attention. She
loves to chase the shadow of her tail, until she's too tired, naps for a bit
and starts up again. Her morning routine is to wait outside the shower and
then play with the water in the sink as we shave and brush teeth. She was
crying out for help when we found her at the top of the stairs to a garage
apartment, in the June heat with no water, food or shelter. Her ears were
sunburned and her belly was so extended that she was unable to walk. The
vet treated her for worms, but it took a couple of weeks for her big Buddha
belly to get back to normal. Now she is a healthy, beautiful and popular
young girl. She is current on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bodie, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
