Simon's Story...
Hi, my name is Simon. This nice lady saved my life by rescued me by a few minutes from being euthanized. She took me home from the shelter and gave me lots of love and told me she would find me my forever home. She got me neutered and all my vaccinations and fed me really good food and snacks. It was so nice being safe in a home. I am very friendly and laid-back grey/sliver tuxedo cat with green eyes. I am easy to handle and even easier to love. I am quite affectionate and intelligent breed of a cat, and truly love human company. I lay on, next to my foster parents while they watch TV, read, and work on the computer. I also like to sleep with them too. I was born around 10/3/07 and am litter trained.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
