Maggie's Story...
Check out these two cuties looking for a forever home together! ❤️

Both are well mannered and sweet as can be. Maggie is a gorgeous 2 year old Dapple Miniature Dachshund. She can be shy at first and tends to lean on her brother for security. But once she feels safe she is begging for your attention and a lap to sit on. Reagan is a handsome 4 year old Miniature Dachshund with long luscious red hair. He is seriously a sweetie. Loves so big for a little guy! These two are the perfect pair and deserve to have the chance to find a home together. Maggie and Reagan were surrendered after the owners could no longer care for them. Sometimes that's the toughest adjustment, they just don't know what they did so wrong. And by no fault of their own, their owners just couldn't meet their needs anymore and wanted them to have a chance to find a great home. Would Reagan and Maggie fit perfectly in your home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Kerrville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Kerrville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Kerrville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kerrville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kerrville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kerrville paves the way for another one to be saved.
