Did you know that black cats like me were once considered sacred representations of the divine on Earth? It's true. And--I'm sad to say it--my previous person may not have known that.

I was found in really terrible conditions recently. The adoption staff can tell you more about it, but let's just summarize by saying that no cat should live the way I had been living. I was hungry. I had wounds. My fur was falling out. It was bad.

I am still a little scarred from my past, as my fur isn't as thick as it should be, but I am focused on the present. I am looking for a special family who wants a special kitty like me.

I am very friendly and kind, despite my abuse. I come right up to people for attention, and I am most comfortable when I am in the company of people. In fact, I don't eat all that well when people aren't around me. I prefer their company.

I can live with other cats. Dogs are a mystery. And I will need my family to be good about flea treatments. I lose my hair when fleas bite me.

Can you help me overcome my past and work on the future? I hope so. I'll wait here for you. And if you love me but can't take me home, use the button to sponsor my stay. Thanks!
