History: Serena found herself in a local WA shelter. Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find her a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do!

Notes from Serena's Foster Home: Serena is an affectionate girl who loves to snuggle particularly in the morning. She will lay on your chest and purr, and tuck her head into your neck. She also likes having her front paws held and her toes played with, especially when she is napping. She loves to be held so that she can hug you and her favorite toy is a Q-tip. She loves warm baths...she protests and whines at first, but ends up purring and happy. She's had a weekly bath since being at her foster home. She loves cardboard scratchers, puzzle balls, and paper bags. Is this sweet girl the cat for you?

Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Please email and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet! For more information, please visit

Thank you for considering adopting a cat in need!

About Motley Zoo Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a an ALL volunteer group, including our executive director who does this full time, unpaid- approximately 80-100 hours of work. We do this because we love these pets and we need to be their voice- to take their best interest to heart, no matter the challenges and difficulties. We love these pets like our own- literally we dedicate our lives to them!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Check out our website for adoption events- there is a calendar on the right, event dates in red.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an adoption application required before meeting our pets, which includes an application, pictures of your residence and a piece of mail to corroborate the address.

We will process the application as it is received, usually taking a business day or so- this time is variable based on the current demands placed on our volunteers, which may be specific per pet.

We will contact you to tell you you are approved, and will arrange to set up a meeting with the pet of interest!
