Adopt-A-Bull has had a rough go of things, but he is certainly on the mend now. Bo was found at a construction site by a good Samaritan in pretty rough condition. It appeared he had been dumped there as this site was sectioned off from the general public. Bo had no hair, his skin was quite pink from being the elements and he was emaciated. It was very apparent he had not been well taken care of in a while.
Bo was immediately taken to the vet clinic and was found to have multiple intestinal parasites and sarcoptic mange. Sarcoptic mange is very contagious to people and humans so he had to stay in isolation for about 4 weeks while he healed. BUT, Bo has now been given the "green light" by our veterinarians and he is ready to find his forever home!
We believe Bo is around 3 years old, he is dog friendly, LOVES treats and loves getting all kinds of attention from anyone and everyone. If you would like to add Bo to your family, please take the first step and fill out our online adoption application: http://love-a-bull.org/adopt/adoption-application/ or email email@example.com
Love-A-Bull is an outgrowth of the former Austin American Pit Bull Terrier Meetup Group, which was formed in 2003. Since that time, the organizers recognized that the political climate warranted the need for change. As a result, Love-A-Bull achieved 501(c)(3) status in 2008 so that the group could more fully attain its mission and goals.
Love-A-Bull was organized to educate and to advocate on behalf of the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Terrier, and Bull Terrier (all breeds commonly referred to as “pit bulls”) and pit bull mixes.
The mission of Love-A-Bull is to promote responsible guardianship and improve the image and lives of pit bull type dogs through community support, education, advocacy, and rescue.
