Sacramento- Jean ValJean (prisoner 24601) made headlines when she broke into a Dollar General Club and stole a loaf of Wonderbread before being caught and sent to Shafter Critters (see the news piece at: http://www.nbcnews.com/…/dog-caught-on-camera-stealing-brea…) . This young and energetic girl was sent to the slammer, but, alas, her people did not claim her. While we know many are interested in her for her viral video, we are looking for an ideal home for her. She actually does not have a high energy, which is amazing as some huskies really need a lot of exercise. She loves dogs of all sizes, prefers to play with the smaller ones, and she loves to cuddle (and is happy to be held and rocked like a baby). At 37 pounds, she is the right size for the snuggles. She is a husky which means she likely can jump a fence if she really wants to, she is prey driven (she is not good with cats, chickens, rabbits, gerbils or any other small animals), she makes awful noises when she is not amused and she is --of course-- gorgeous. She says she is a changed dog, and promises to not break into any other stores and steal food, but she cannot promise she won't steal your heart! She is only about two years old, is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
