CARMEN NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Carmen    Best Guess for Breed: Terrier Mix

Best Guess for Age: 9-10 weeks as of 7/10/17     SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 10-12 lb as of 7/10/17

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: DC area in foster care and looking for her forever home!

Special adoption considerations: This baby girl is very young. She will need someone who is around a lot! If you work full time you would need proof of a dog walker 2-3x a day while she is under 4 months (or puppy daycare) and once a day thereafter. She is young enough to learn to love kids and cats if introduced properly.

Carmen and her 2 sisters (Chloe and Caroline) are super excited to be coming to the DC area to find their forever homes! She is dreaming of a home where someone is around a lot to work with her, care for her and love her.

Carmen is hoping her new home will include LOTS of puppy toys! Especially ones that SQUEAK! She is looking forward to taking her Mom or Dad on lots of walkies to explore the neighborhood. She is also hoping to have a loving lap to curl up on in the evenings to read or watch TV together. She promises to make you proud in a training class!

If you think this little girl would be the perfect addition to your family, please contact the coordinator (Sue) listed below with your completed application. (link below) A because a certain little someone is pretty excited about coming home soon ...for forever!

Carmen is not old enough to have had all of her vaccines.  It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time.  Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, She is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Due to her young age, she has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 11/7/17.

Like most puppies, she will need to work on her housetraining. She will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!

The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please FIRST download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Sue C at suec@luckydoganimalrescue.org

About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
