Meet Diamond!

This sweet, adorable little old gal is a special girl with a special story. You see, Diamond was rescued as a puppy by a rescue who got her vetted and kept her safe, but that's as far as Diamond ever made it.No one really knows the reason why, but all that's important now is to do our best to give her a fresh new start. This sweetheart has spent years watching her kennel mates and fellow canines leave with families while she watched from behind a kennel. She is a 12 yr old pittie girl who has spent her entire life in rescue, waiting for a home. So now, we're working extra hard to ensure her last couple of years are priceless treasures. Because of this, Diamond will be placed in our Senior program, where her adoption fee will be waived and funding for her medical expenses as she continues to age will be provided. All we can ask for and provide this sweet girl, is a great rest of her life. Hopefully it's with you!

Diamond is a small girl, weighing in at only 40 lbs and is your typical staffordshire mixed pup. She is extremely loving and sweet, gets along with ALL people she meets both big and small. She always has a smile on her face when she greets you, and is always happy and eager when we return home. The look in her eyes when she is with her person are some of the happiest eyes we've seen in a rescue dog! She is a special girl!

She gets along with dogs once she has been properly introduced and spends some time with them. She goes outside on a regular basis with other dogs and seems to have no issues, but obviously due to being alone most of her life thrives on being an only dog as well. She is frightened of cats due to a lifetime lack of socialization so any home with cats will just need to be patient as she pretty much ignores them.

Her eyes plead with an eagerness to please and Diamond is just waiting for her special person to come along. She does well with training even in her older nature, and does great with affection and treats as her motivation. She is still active, and enjoys running and walking or going for an adventure on the property. However, like most older dogs, most of her time is spent relaxing and curled up next to you or at your feet so if your looking for a cuddle buddy, this girl is for you! She is good on leash, knows how to sit and go to her kennel/bed, and is fully crate trained and housebroken.

Diamond is fully vetted, meaning she is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly flea and heartworm and is microchipped. For more information on how to adopt or foster Diamond, please contact us at!

About K&M Canines Rescue AR

About Our Rescue Group...

We are dedicated to preventing the abandonment and euthanasia of dogs by rehabilitation and behavior modification while providing education to rescues and the public. We teach rescues and pet owners the behavioral knowledge to prevent and manage unwanted canine behaviors. Providing this knowledge will lower the number of re-homed and abandoned dogs by giving pet owners the knowledge to prevent unwanted behavior from occurring.

We work diligently to understand our dogs behavior to help place them in the best possible home that they can call forever.
