Coal's Story...
Coal is just a fun little guy, a little shy at first but warms up quickly. He loves being held and cuddling. Coal likes to lay in the sun, run around the yard and chew toys. We keep a puppy pad down in case he has to go before taken outside. He is doing great at potty training and we are on night 4 with no accident in the crate. Coal sleeps through the night without a sound. He is such a good boy and quickly picks up on things. Coal responds to correction wonderfully. He is very curious about cats.

Coal is currently fostered in Huntsville, Alabama. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coal, a Chattanooga Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
