Cheeto's Story...

Meet CHEETO....this cute little girl was taken into the rescue with her siblings and her mom Pretzel.  Mom is a 40lbs mixed breed (Shepherd mix is our best guess!) and Dad was believed to be a Great Dane.  She was born on 5-29-11 and was 8 weeks old on 7-25-11.  This girl is playful, affectionate and loves to give kisses.  She is very well-socialized and like most pups inquisitive and curious!  The rescue expects her to be approx. 60lbs full grown and she will need a fenced yard in her new home.  Cheeto is spayed, current on all shots, on heartworm preventive and microchipped.  Please contact her foster Janet at 804-746-1709 or at jrmoncure@aol.com to find out more about this sweet pup!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cheeto, a Ashland Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Great Dane puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Great Dane for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Great Dane puppy from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Great Dane breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
