Laura-ADOPTED!!!'s Story...

Meet LAURA....this adorable lhasa apso mixed girl was being given away at a flea market in Lee County, VA.  She and her siblings were taken in by a fellow rescue person and made their way to our rescue.  Approx. date of birth is 5-18-11. Laura is currently about 12 weeks old and 5lbs.  Adult size will be approx. 20-25lbs.  This sweet little outgoing girl is very social and will make a wonderful pet.  She is papertrained at this time.  Laura & her siblings did test positive for parvo but have recovered and are still on a special dry food for the time being. Laura will be available for adoption after their spay/neuter appts. on August 17th & 18th.  She is current on shots, on heartworm preventive and will be microchipped before adoption.  We would be happy to answer any questions you have by email or you can fill out our online application at www.hhk-9rescue.org by clicking the adoptions button at the top of the page.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Laura-ADOPTED!!!, a Ashland Lhasa Apso puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Lhasa Apso puppy from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
