Tessa-ADOPTED!!!'s Story...

Meet TESSA...this pretty little boxer mix girl was rescued from SW VA.  She and her littermates were found in a dumpster when they were just hours old.  A nice lady tried to care for them all but sadly Tessa was the only one to survive.  She is approx. 5 months old and 20lbs.  Adult weight is expected to be approx. 30lbs.  Tessa is a happy, social outgoing puppy who does well with people and other dogs.  She will need a home where she is a big part of the family and a fenced yard to keep her safe while she plays.  This little girl has survived and defeated the odds so she is looking for that forever home that will treat her like the precious girl she is.  Tessa is spayed, current on all shots, on heartworm preventive & microchipped.  Please contact her foster mom Janet at jrmoncure@aol.com or at 804-746-1709 to learn more about this sweetheart!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa-ADOPTED!!!, a Ashland Jack Russell Terrier/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Boxer for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
