Baron's Story...

Meet BARON...this handsome boy was rescued from the Hanover County Pound.  He is approx. 6 years old and 45lbs.  This regal-looking boy is just learning that life can be good and its ok to wag his tail!  He is just now getting the chance to know how to live life the good way...he's never had the opportunity before.  Baron is quite striking and sports one blue eye and has a nice white and tan coat.  Baron will need a patient, loving owner and a fenced yard in his new home.  He would love to have a doggie friend to call his own as well.  Baron is neutered, current on shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baron, a Ashland Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Foxhound dog from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound breeders who help with Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
