My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Holly was found by a good samaritan who saw a post on Facebook by a homeowner in San Bernardino who said there was a mother dog with newborn puppies living underneath their house and if no one came to take them, animal control would be called. The good samaritan called us to take them in, we immediately took them to the vet who said Holly was underweight but otherwise in good health. She had scratches along the side of her body. We took Holly and her six pups who were a few days old into foster care. Unfortunately when her foster mom went to check on the pups the next morning, all six had passed away. Our vet believes it was a combination of heat exposure and malnourishment. Holly was devastated and in a constant state of anxiety for the first few days. She has been receiving a lot of TLC in her new foster home and is making friends with dogs her size and has now pulled out of the anxiety. She is a very active sweetheart who loves all other dogs, big and small, male and female. She walks well on a leash and is doing fantastic with crate-training. She is going to make her forever family an excellent companion and new best friend. Holly is about a year old and weighs 45 pounds. Her adoption fee is $295 which covers the cost of her spay, all core vaccines, fecal testing, deworming, microchip and microchip registration. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog at our weekly adoption event on Saturdays at the Petsmart in Yorba Linda, CA (5521 Mirage St.) between 1-5 PM, please fill out an application from our website, poochmatch.com, and return it via email to poochmatch@hotmail.com no later than 11 AM on Fridays. Upon receipt AND approval, the dog you are interested in meeting will be made available to meet on a Saturday. Due to the high volume of dogs and puppies in our foster homes, it is impossible to bring them all every Saturday. The only way to ensure that the dog that you are interested in will be at the adoption event is to FILL OUT AN APPLICATION AND BE APPROVED. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that the dog you are interested in will be at our adoption event. If you cannot make the time frame of our events, appointments can be made at another time and location solely at the discretion of the foster parent. Please understand that private appointments will be coordinated to meet the convenience of the foster parent/transporter. We cannot hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt.

All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, core vaccinations (rabies and 2 sets of distemper/parvo), fecal testing and deworming. Adoption fees vary solely based on age and size.
