My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello and good afternoon everyone I would like to introduce myself ...my name is #MaxiBPFF and I am a new member to the Barky Pines family...I would like to share my story with you...well almost a week ago me and my friend Roscoe...wandered off....we were on the move and had no particular place in mind to go...well we walked and walked until we saw this place called Barky Pines...and for some reason we thought we should walk over to their gate...and a nice man named uncle Steve saw us... he came outside the gate...and saw us...he was very calm and nice and the next thing we knew he was walking us on their property...there were sooo many chickens, ducks and geese running around...sooo happy in their world...I felt a sense of comfort being there...then a lady walked over to us and that’s aunt Liz...she knew just what to do...she got her scanner and checked to see if we had a microchip...well we sure didn’t in fact we didn’t even have collars on with any identification....we both are way too skinny for our sizes...they gave a each a bowl of yummy crunchies.....and they decided that they were gonna take us to ACC...that’s what you do when you find a lost pup or kitty...then aunt Liz got us both in her truck and off we went...when we got there they took our pictures and gave us necklaces with numbers on them...they brought us both to a kennel then we got to see the doctor...my day couldn’t get any worse when I found out that I have those bad worms in my heart...I was scared to death at that moment...and they said not to worry..that I was going to be a Barky Pines pup and that aunt Liz will get the medical attention I need for my heartworms...sooo me and my buddy spent the night there...and the next day aunt Liz came and picked us up...she drove us back to Barky Pines where we finished our stray hold...then on Monday afternoon aunt Mary brought us both to get fixed...I had no clue that I was broken too...oh my goodness....well it wasn’t sooo bad..aunt Mary came to get us...the next day...when we got back to the farm...uncle Steve came to help get us out of the car...we were both very very groggy...he took such care with us...and carried us to our room...where we were able to get some rest....I am so thankful that me and Roscoe ended up here...this family really really loves and cares for their rescues...they welcomed us in without knowing anything about us...and gave us both baths...and delicious food...and a warm cozy bed to lay our weary heads on...I am sure once my heartworm treatment is over...someone will see my picture and read my story...and think I would be the perfect addition for a loving home...I am a year and a half old catahoula I weigh approx. 45lbs...I am super sweet and love to give warm kisses...if you or anyone you know is looking for a sweet girl...I may be the answer to your prayers...well gotta go...still need to rest...thank you for reading my story...thank you for caring...and especially for sharing...your friend Maxi...woof woof
