Facts about Jack

  • Breed: Jack Russell Terrier Mix
  • Color: White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 36060840
Jack is a 3 year old Jack Russel Terrier mix who was surrendered to the shelter.

He is a typical little energetic JRT who LOVES to go for walks and play, play, play!
He is clean in his kennel and is supposed to be crate trained for night time.

Jack does have some separation anxiety and can be destructive when left alone, so continuing on with crate training for him is definitely recommended.

Jack is good with older children (aged 10 and up) but we do not know how is he with dogs. He is not good with cats or small animals.

Jack loves the walks, water and really, really loves his squeaky toys!

A home with lots of room for Jack to run around in, to expend out his seemingly endless energy would be ideal.

Adoption fee: $400 incl neuter, bordatella vaccine, first vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment if it was necessary, microchip, six weeks of free pet insurance and a free checkup at a local participating vet. Please call in advance to ensure I am still available at 613-968-4673. You may take me out for a walk and upon approved application, since I am not already fixed, and appointment will be made to be done.

If you're unable to adopt Jack but would like to sponsor him to help lower his adoption fee, please inquire by calling the shelter :)

About Quinte Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

We are the Quinte Humane Society. We are the only Humane Society in all of Hastings & Prince Edward Counties. We take in both owner surrenders and strays, as well as all of the cruelty complaints of both counties. We take in dogs & cats, as well as small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs & hamsters (etc), up to livestock and birds.
The QHS is totally non-profit and we do not receive any government funding.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are located at 527 Avonlough Road in Belleville. Our hours are 12noon until 5pm, Monday through Saturday, and from 1pm to 4pm on Sundays.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to fill out an pre-adoption application. If that application is approved, the dog/cat must be spayed/neutered before it leaves our shelter (if not already done). If it is a puppy under 4 months old, we allow it to go home with the adopters under a foster care agreement until it is old enough to be returned for spay/neuter. Kittens are allowed to leave before spay/neuter is done, but they must be done within a certain time frame.
Fees: Dogs/puppies range from $150-300, depending on if they came in already spayed/neutered or if we paid to have that done.
Cats range from $80 - $140, though we often have deals on older cats or cats that have been there a long time.
Kittens are $60 with $25 refunded once it has been spayed/neutered.
All adoptions include at least the first vaccination, deworming, de-fleaing, microchip ID, and 6 weeks of pet insurance.
