Our sweet and beautiful Bella couldn't be more loving no matter how hard she tried. Bella is a 9 - 12 month old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever mix (can't get a better family dog) that is just waiting to be the love of someone's life.

Both Cattle Dogs and Labs have grown in popularity tremendously over the past few years. It makes perfect sense in that they're known for their great temperaments, incredible intelligence and loyalty.. and love for their families. Farfel's rescues almost every Aussie Cattle Dog/Lab mix that is in need of our help with confidence they will have great energy and be excellent family members. Bella has all these wonderful traits and was described by her New Mexico foster mom as PERFECTLY WONDERFUL!

Bella has had a challenging period of time but is now safe and sound…never to be cold or hungry again. But with it all…Bella doesn't hold a grudge and desires only to be the best companion possible. Since Bella is so young, she's a blank slate…open to all possibilities if treated kindly and with respect.

Group training classes with a positive reinforcement trainer would truly serve both Bella and her family (as it does every dog and their people). Together they will learn the skills to have Bella be a companion that is well-behaved in every situation. It also creates strong bonds of respect between pup and family.

Bella tends to be a loving and sensitive girl who loves life and responds so well to nurturing and time spent together (hugs and kisses are absolutely awesome)... and of course some great treats are always a wonderful option. Bella gets very attached to those she loves and before you know it, is on her way to her favorite people for belly rubs and soft touches.

Bella loves to come along (and is very portable at 31 lbs) it to a dog-friendly workplace, a hike on a Colorado trail, a vacation or just socializing…Bella would love to be there as Companion #1. She has such a pleasant personality and is low-maintenance enough to fit in just about anywhere
We envision Bella in a home that will provide her with exercise and mental stimulation. Bella wouldn't be happy spending long hours alone…she is far too people-oriented to be happy with that. A retiree or a person who works either part-time or from home would be great. Bella would love the companionship and consistency of those relationships. Being a young dog, she'd also learn that she's loved and cared for. This is a lesson that results in a happy and confident adult dog.

Bella will be arriving in Denver unfixed due to too many dogs and not enough vets in this very poor area of New Mexico. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Bella's spay and microchip if our Denver vet is used.

Bella will be arriving on transport on Sunday 8/6/17. If interested in this very sweet girl who is truly a best friend, please fill out an application at and submit to or fax to 303-443-7730.

About Farfel's Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We own a pet boutique named Farfel's Farm on Pearl Street in Boulder, CO. We have had the good fortune to find our niche in the Boulder community and experience success. We felt it very important to "pay it forward" in gratitude for our good luck. We couldn't think of a better endeavor than to save dogs who were out of time in the southern states, yet had been identified with great temperaments. We dedicate our efforts to their good health and ultimate wonderful, permanent homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pets are transported from the southern states approximately twice per month. Almost 100% of the time, the dogs are spoken for as a result of adoption applications that can be referenced under Adoption at We study the applications. If the app indicates there is a match, followed up by a home visit and reference checks, the process moves to the next step. The adopter is committing to a 2-week foster (of course the dog can be returned at any time prior), and can then choose to finalize the adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adoptions start out as a 2-week mandatory foster period. During that time, Farfel's covers all vet issues if one of Farfel's rescue vets is used. We also serve as a support with trainers and behaviorists on board for questions. An Adoption Application and an Adoption Contract must be completed before any dog can begin their 2-week foster. Our average adoption fee runs about $445. This amount serves to cover vetting, spay/neuter, all vaccinations, heart worm testing, temperament testing and transport. Our dogs come from Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and rural Colorado.
