Paxton is 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier. At a year old he was surrendered to the Louisiana SPCA and spent 2 years there. While in a short term foster home, my son, who is a college student, fell in love and adopted him. He traveled all the way to NY in the car with the family, stayed in hotels with us and was extremely well behaved. Unfortunately, when we got home, he did not get along with one of the other dogs who is a male. He does great with the female we have.
Paxton can be playful at times and calm and sedate at others. He loves to chew toys and finding ones that last more than a day is a challenge but necessary. Paxton needs a family where he will be the only pet.
When he was adopted, he was heartworm positive and is currently being treated. He needs to complete his treatment in the next 2 months, but the cost for this treatment will be covered.
We are heartbroken that we cannot keep Paxton and want to find a loving forever home for him.
