My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This gorgeous gal is Gyda!!!! Gyda is a beautiful 4 year old mastiff/hound mix who doesn't know a stranger. She arrived at our local shelter last year weighing in at only 45 lbs (she is now 73 lbs!), so sick that she couldn't even stand, with 9 two-day old puppies. Thankfully, she recovered quickly, her pups were adopted, and Gyda thought she'd found her forever home. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago she was returned to the shelter and her foster mama asked if we would take her on and help find her real FOREVER home. Gyda is so incredibly sweet, loyal, and loving. She is completely house trained, well behaved in the house (not destructive at all!), and knows a few basic commands! She is used to living in a home with small children and is gentle and patient with them. She currently lives in a foster home with another dog and a cat and they get along just fine. She has been very well socialized and well cared for and she's finally ready to settle down with someone who is willing to make a lifetime commitment to her-- no matter what.
