Jesse James's Story...
Stick 'em up folks....there's a new outlaw at the Cocker Inn and he's a real heart stealer!

Jesse James is an 8 month old male who who loves being part of a gang and playing with other dogs. He came to us from a retired couple who purchased him as a puppy to travel the country for extended periods of time in an RV. He was walked twice a day but confined to a small pen and needed an escape. That regimented environment was totally boring to him and he quit eating, lost weight and was overall depressed. The couple decided that JJ needed more than he could offer him and decided that he would be happier in a home with other dogs. Now that he is in a foster home with other dogs, he has come back to life and is absolutely thriving! He weighs 25 lbs and LOVES to play. We haven't seen him around children but suspect that he would be fine. He has been through obedience training and according to his foster mom, he is a pretty well behaved guy for an 8 month old puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jesse James, a Sugarland Cocker Spaniel puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Sugarland, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel puppy from a breeder in Sugarland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sugarland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sugarland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sugarland paves the way for another one to be saved.
