Hi! My friends call me 'Bitsy Mitzi, but my real name is just Mitzi. I'm a real down to earth, soulful type who likes to flop on my back so I can stare at the stars before I fall asleep. I love to wrestle with my brothers and sisters, and lick the Foster Lady's toes. I'm still getting the hang of talking, so when I try to tell stories with my tiny bark it sometimes makes my whole body shake! The Foster Lady giggles at my tiny shake-barks! I was borned in the doggy slammer in Texas, but thankfully a nice rescue lady saved us and took us on long ride to a place called 'Rado. I love it here so much! I'd love to find a forever peoples to love so I can stay! I'm just a baby, so I'll need a bunch of love, attention, time, dedication, and schooling. I'm probably real good at science cuz I'm a Lab Mixer! I was born on 5/27 and will be ready for adoption real soon!

About Sunshine Canyon Dog Rescue

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process - PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING!

- Complete our adoption application.
- Email your finished application to sunshinecanyondr@gmail.com. Please put the dogs name in the subject line.
- Be patient & understanding. It may take a couple days for us to go through your application & get back to you. We are dedicated to finding the right home for each dog. The dog you are interested in might not be a good fit for you but that doesn't mean its the end of the road. We will work to find you a compatible dog!
- Upon approval we will discuss details of pick up & follow up care.
- Because the majority of our dogs come from out of state; most of our adoptions are done before you meet the dog. We make up for this by doing a mandatory 1 week foster period. We treat it like an adoption (w/ contract & payment) but you have a week to make sure its a good fit. If you decide within in the foster period that you are not compatible, we will reimburse your adoption fee. All we ask is that you continue to foster until we can find a forever home. Our adopters often say that our foster period is much better than a pressured 15 minute meet n greet in a shelter. We cover most medical costs within this week period.
- After the week period we are still a resource for you! We are always happy to help from training to kinds of dog food, we are here for you.
