Facts about Rainbow
Breed: Domestic Shorthair/Domestic Shorthair Mix
I am already spayed.
There's no reason to look somewhere over the next rainbow to find your next pet since our Rainbow has all you'll ever want right here within her gentle, sweetly shy heart. She's a young kitty girl that took her time warming up to people but has blossomed in a really pleasant, gentle and fun cat. She has the cutest little squeaky meow, loves kitty treats and enjoys playtime especially if it involves laser beams or dangling things. Her beautiful multi-colored coat is velvety soft and extra thick a perfect combo for petting. Rainbow can still get spooked easily so her ideal fur-ever home is one with a calm environment without young kids or dogs but could include other cats which she seems to get along fine with. So give up all the looking and come meet Rainbow, she's all you'll ever want. She's spayed, vaccinated, tested neg. for FeLuk/FIV and micro-chipped. FMAR is a non-profit 501(c)3 rescue for dogs and cats that started in April 2003 with the help and support of hundreds of wonderful people. Our mission is to protect animals and residents by promoting a healthy and safe enviornment for all. FMAR felt we needed to start in our own community helping our Animal Control facility find homes for the strays they pick up or are brought to them. On a rare occassion when we have extra space we do our best to help out neighboring communities too. We started in the family room of our home, adding kennels under and on the pool table and moving to the dining and livingroom. We grew by leaps and bounds, so we sold our home, bought a 61/2 acre farm and renovated the smaller of the 2 barns with 9 dog kennels and 5 unique cat kennels. Our first renovation allowed us to house a larger number of cats and dogs, but the need grew faster than our space would allow. We are amazed and saddened every day by the abundance of homeless pets and hoped to raise enough money to renovate our larger barn, but the need became so great we knew we had to find something smaller that we could better afford to renovate. We added on again but the space was still not enough. We found someone to donate another barn and had this barn moved to our property and renovated it as our new "Cat Haven". Please visit our website at www.fmar1.org for more details on our growth and progress. We promise the best is yet to come!!

Our Adoption Process...
FMAR is an no-kill 501 C 3 tax-exempt all breed rescue, and like you, we are concerned about the welfare of the animals and the families that adopt them. We will require paperwork to be filled out and a consultation before an animal is adopted. Interaction with any other animals in your care is also required. We reserve the right to deny any adoption that we feel is not safe or comfortable for either the animal or potential adopter. Our adoption costs vary, and include first set of vaccinations and spay/neuter. Cats and kittens start at $75 and dogs and puppies range from $100 - $175 depending on age, size and breed. We also offer micro chips at a very reasonable rate. For more information please send us an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
