Frankie's declawed on front paws.

Only good traits come to mind when we think about this beautiful senior cat. Full of love and affection, Frankie enjoys hanging out with his humans and soaking up the sun. He’ll happily tell you all about his day when you come home, and he’s more than willing to hear about yours (while you pet him, of course!)

This flexible feline loves his stretches. He’s often found on his back in the middle of the floor, wiggling his paws in the air while twisting his spine to show off his skills. Frankie has taken up exercising with his foster mom during her nightly yoga sessions - he’s got a spot on her mat where he purrs on in encouragement and monitors her progress.

When it’s bedtime, make sure to leave room for your new best friend. Frankie loves his goodnight kisses and prefers to rest near your head. According to his foster mom, “He likes leaving one of his paws on your face while you sleep; it’s really sweet.”

As with any older cat, Frankie has a few needs and requests. His diet requires a little attention, and we think he’d do best as an only child. If you’re willing to take care of this senior, he’ll be sure to reward you with lots of love.

Frankie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, and $50 to adopt.

Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, formed by long term volunteers from Oakland Animal Services (OAS) and other Bay Area shelters. We have partnered with OAS to take the cats who are least likely to do well in a shelter setting. About Cat Town

About Our Rescue Group...

Cat Town is a 501(c)(3) cat rescue organization based in Oakland, CA. Formed by volunteers of Oakland Animal Services (OAS) (Oakland's municipal shelter), our mission is to find homes for the cats least likely to be adopted from OAS because they can't handle the stress of the shelter environment. By getting these cats into foster homes, they can relax and show their true personalities to potential adopters. We focus on older semi-feral kittens, stressed, shy or undersocialized cats, and cats who are older and/or have special needs. We are a relatively new organization and are all-volunteer run. We operate on a shoestring budget so can always use financial donations, as well as food, litter and other supplies. We are always looking for great foster homes and volunteers for everything that we do. Helping these vulnerable cats is pure joy! Please contact us at info@cattownoakland.org to get involved.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our cats are in foster homes, mostly in Oakland, CA, but some are in surrounding cities. Our fosters are generally very flexible about scheduling cat introductions.

Our Adoption Process...

All of our cats are in foster homes, mostly in Oakland, CA, or other nearby cities. We will talk to you by phone to make sure the cat sounds like a good fit for your home before setting up an introduction in the foster home. We have a pretty straightforward adoption application, which you will be asked to complete only after you have met a cat who you want to adopt. Our adoption fees for kittens and cats up to age 7 are $50 for a single cat or $75 for pair; cats age 8 an older are $35 for a single cat or $50 for a pair. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on their vaccinations and microchipped. Cats age six months or older are tested for FIV/FeLV.
