Hello! Introducing... Cottonwood. She is a brave little girl who showed up lost and hungry on our front porch one Friday evening back in June. She got her name because she looked like a tuft of Cottonwood tree blossom when she first turned up. Most people think she's named after the bar on N Shepherd. She is of course oblivious to this debate. Cottonwood is now ready to go out into the world and steal your heart, and the hearts of any other furry friends you might have at home. She is brave and curious. She will sneak up on your dog and pat him on the nose when he's asleep. She'll pounce on the tail of your older cat and have him playing like a kitten again too. Her favorite game is to chase a ball of crumpled up paper across the floor because the noise it makes is just so thrilling! She will chase a piece of string, and then turn the tables and chase the fingers pulling the piece of string. (She's real smart like that.) Scratch her under the chin and she will purr sweetly. (It's the only way to get her to sit still, really.) Take Cottonwood home with you and I know you'll just love her. Cottonwood is only here on some weekends. Please call the shelter at 281-497-0591 to see if will be here this weekend.
