My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Suzie and Abby are a bonded pair…mom and daughter.
Suzie is an adorable 6 year old little Lhasa Apso mix weighing a whopping 6.5 lbs. She loves to sit in your lap and will follow you everywhere. She uses the doggy door to go outside to potty and sun herself. She’s not fond of the rain and would prefer to not get her little piggies wet. Her previous owner said she is not potty trained, but at her foster home—with a doggy door—she’s doing find in the potty department. She rides well in the car and is good on a leash. And while Suzy is very cute, she can be kind of crabby with her dog mom, Abby…and with other dogs she might be living with.
Abby is a 10 year old Lhasa Apso. She is an elegant older lady. She carries herself like royalty, nothing ruffles her fur. She is great in a car and good on a leash. She is definitely not your typical yappy little dog. She uses the doggy door to go outside to potty. She enjoys sunning herself on the deck. Abby prefers a pillow to lie on but will make due with a blanket.(A $400 adoption donation is required for the pair.)
If you are interested in these dogs, please go to the Adopt page of our website where you will find a link to an adoption application form https://www.chewdogrescue.org/index.php/adopt. If you have previously submitted an application form, there is no need to re-apply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.
