My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rigby. The name alone makes you think of a very dapper young Englishman.

Well that is exactly what our Rigby is.....young, dapper...but not English. He is a little Jack Russell mix that will melt your heart when he looks at you.

Rigby came to our rescue from a family who bought him when he was a puppy. The family thought they were buying a Jack Russell....but nevertheless, cute is cute.
The family had a very small child and small dogs and small children usually are not the best mix. The gentleman who surrendered Rigby to us was very distraught that he was giving up his little buddy but we assured him Rigby would be in the best hands.
In foster care now Rigby is doing great. He can be a little timid at first but he does warm up quickly. Housebreaking was no problem for him.

Rigby LOVES his belly rubs throughout the day and he can be a very affectionate guy but he also loves his own space.
Some of Rigby's activities during the day are...tummy rubbing...eating...walking...tummy rubbing...bathroom break....etc Walking is important for any dog but Rigby can walk as easily with a pack as well as alone. He LOVES to walk.

Rigby is a VERY smart young guy. He would be great for learning agility and/or jogging to keep his Russell-mind stimulated. A completely fenced yard will be needed so he can stay safe while he is enjoying the outdoors.

Little children are too fast, too loud and put their face in his. For Rigby this makes him uncomfortable. Sudden moves or people bending down quickly to pet Rigny scare him. Rigby would be great in a home where he can put his paws up and just "be Rigby" .

Rigby is a 5 year old Jack Russell mix, 20 pounds, UTD on vaccinations, housebroken, neutered and microchipped.
