Hi, I'm Stella. Can you see how sweet I am? My foster mom explained you would like to know a little about me, so I’ve written up a little biography of myself.
I had a rough go of life until RESCUEDohio rescued me and my five 6-week-old puppies from a scary shelter right before I was to be put to sleep.
I was very, very scared of humans, after all a shelter is a scary place, but thank goodness my foster family is patient with me as I'm learning to trust. My furry foster brother has helped a ton! I just LOVE other dogs. They help me feel more comfortable around people. I must have a forever home with a dog(s).
Even though I'm still scared at times, I have never, ever once been aggressive or even growled at anyone.
I'm completely house trained and walk beautifully on a leash. I love going for walks, and my tail wags even more if my foster brother is with us! Dogs make the best friends! I also think I would be good with cats, too, although I have yet to meet one. Young children might be too intimidating for me, though.
I will do best in a home that has a fenced in yard. Even though I like my temporary family, I still get tempted to run away at times when I'm scared.
I need a home with at least one other dog. I'm young (around two years old and about fifty pounds) so as my confidence is growing... I'm learning I like to play! Yay for play! I'll even get into mischief if I'm feeling extra spunky, which means I need a family who will correct me without scaring me - someone with extra patience.
I just know I'm gonna make a great lifelong pet! I give kisses and wags of my tail and will love you if you're patient with me!!!
The adoption fee for Stella is $300. Meet and greets will gladly be arranged for approved adopters. To fill out an application please visit rescuedohio.org.
