This sweet little girl is looking for a family to call her own! Lulu is looking for someone like you!

She bonds strongly to her person, but loves all people! This lovely gal lives with furry siblings – dog & cat – and loves playing or cuddling with them!

She is crate trained, but may bark for a few minutes before settling down – for this reason she may be best in attached or detached housing rather than an apartment. She also does quite enjoy the luxury of a backyard! She is good on her leash and has great potential for off-leash recall for dog parks or trails exploring!

When she first came into care, she did try to “guard” her food/toys/people from other dogs and tried to chase the cat. It wasn’t aggressive she just kind of stood between the object and another dog and wouldn’t let them by. With trust-building and corrections and exposure, Lulu has totally overcome this! (As you can see she even sleeps with the foster’s cat from time to time).

Lulu would be best in a home with children 10+ as, even for a smaller dog, she can play a little rough sometimes and may nip accidentally, not meaning to harm anyone — she just gets excited.

All in all, she is super sweet and just wants to please her humans – Lulu knows all her commands, and is so excited to show you!

About Rocky Road Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our goals are to rescue dogs from high kill shelters, northern dogs, and compassionate owner surrenders, and provide them with the medical care they deserve, as well as find them the best loving forever homes. We are also committed to educating the public on positive pet ownership, and to give back to the community through assisting families in need whenever possible.

Rocky Road Rescue is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization that is 100% foster-based. As a result of our dedicated foster families, all of our dogs live in a family environment. We raise funds through events and fundraisers, which allow us to continue to rescue dogs in need. One hundred percent of these funds go towards the purchase of food, vetting costs, shelter pull fees, and other costs associated with the general operation of the rescue.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at pet stores in the Ottawa area regularly.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee is $400 for adult dogs, and $500 for puppies. This includes all age appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption, as well as spay or neuter when it is appropriate for the age (even after adoption in the case of puppies). We do require references and an application to be filled out for each adoption. We do not work on "payment plans".
