A Little Bit About Me

I am a wonder of nature! Why? Because I'm a calico cat with a beautiful white, black and orange coat! I'm also a good luck charm in many cultures which consider me to bring good fortune. The Maneki Neo, the Japanese good luck cat with the waving paw, is modeled after me. My ideal home would have a cat tree for me to climb, a toy mouse to chase, and my favorite person's lap to hang out on in the evening.

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
