"Picasso" the 2 year old male pithuahua (shelter had him listed as "Pitbull/ Chihuahua") is healing nicely from his crypto neuter and dewclaw removal. He was stray in Pomona and having been hit by a car (soft tissue damage only thankfully) and exhausted from the heat he was taken in by Animal Control and held for a legal stray hold at IVHS. Sadly, nobody showed up to claim him so when he became available to rescues Leashes of Love Rescue sprung this low rider licketty split. He is a 26 lb "pocket pibble"who is shy and takes a short while to trust people (very hand shy and shows typical signs of abuse) but once he does trust he is all kisses and snuggles. So far he has peacefully mingled with both big and little dogs that are balanced and pack oriented but he did raise his hackles at a dog who tends to be a bully(he also corrected verbally quite handily). He is good on leash and has had only 1 potty accident (night of his complicated neuter so doesn't really count -right? ). He is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped and now awaiting his furever people. If interested in meeting/adopting Picasso, please go to www.lolr.org and fill out an adoption application.
