Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Piper34 is the pup who was intentionally run down by a driver who left her to die. She ran into a drain pipe in front of a firehouse and the personnel combined with citizens got her out. Piper34 (Piper for "pipe" and 34 for the name of the fire station) has come such a long way. On September 22, she had a follow-up visit with her Veterinary Orthopedic Specialist. We never thought the news would be this great. The first surgery (plates, pins, screws) did its magic and Piper34 can go to a Forever Home within a few weeks. She walks with a limp but that doesn't stop her from being a wonderfully happy pup! Piper34 is estimated to be almost a year old but she's a tiny 36 pounds. This little girl is so special to everybody who knows her story by way of social media or the Nightly News. Now it's time to find her a home of her own.
ADOPTION INFORMATION: You must be at least 23 years old to adopt. You have to fill out an adoption application before we can discuss any of our dogs or puppies with you so we know as much about you as possible. Almost all of our dogs and puppies have pre-approved adopters so apply as soon as possible. The application is at http://www.joshuafundrescue.org/adoptionapplication
Since we are a Rescue located many states away from where the dog originates, we know nothing more about the dog than is stated in the above description. Except for rare circumstances, we prefer our adopters to live within 250 miles of Lake Placid, NY 12946
